Lodging and Transportation

Our Core Education students live off campus and in apartments. Many of them have roommates to share living expenses and we work very closely with several apartment complexes within 15 to 20 minutes from our campus at Orange County National. The cost for local housing and apartment living can vary between $500 per month (with roommate) to $1,200 per month (living alone, one or two bedroom apartments) A car is important since we travel to and from area golf courses for work, our tournaments and everyday play.

Transferring Credits to another College or University

At the present time our college is in the mandatory two-year process of becoming accredited. We do have our Florida State license, however it takes accreditation for a student to be able to transfer credits beyond earning our degree. Our application for accreditation will be submitted in January of 2017 and we expect to have it in place for our September of 2017 semester. This will allow for us to accept students loan funding and G.I Bill & V.A. Benefit funding. Our students currently graduate and earn an industry respected two-year Associate's Degree and/or Certification in Golf Management or Performance Coaching.

Job Prospectus

As part of our curriculum, Core Golf Education offers Structured Learning Experience programs that acts as an internship in the golf business. Our students will work in the golf industry in several areas including coaching, teaching, golf operations, outside services and retail sales. During that internship it is our goal for our students to obtain part time work that will support their classroom activity. We encourage it. This program also helps build their resume so when our students are ready to graduate they have a strong foundation and support system enabling them to be placed in the golf industry on a full time basis.

PGA of America Designation

Core Education also works with the students who are interested in obtaining their PGA designation and passing their playing ability test (PAT).
